WebNov 3, 2024 · you should only have one clay/sand zone because a single zone produces an infinite amount of clay/sand. the dwarves may be getting confused by the two zones (no clue why, also you may be the only person that has had this problem). if neither works try closing and starting dwarf fortress back up. Logged WebAll of these are actually mixes of sand, silt & clay. Loam is a roughly equal mix of all three. So I'll give the percentages of each that I used to find the density. For example, SCS = 20/60/20 means that a soil was assumed to contain 20% sand, 60% clay & 20% silt. The numbers will always be in the order sand/clay/silt. [OBJECT:INORGANIC]

Also, check the status of the block(s) you're trying to collect from--if they have the word "loam" in them, they aren't going to work (it's very confusing to see "silty clay loam", and it doesn't work).
